Oppo Reno8 Pro: More specifications surface for OnePlus 10 Pro lookalike

Digital Chat Station has provided more details about the Oppo Reno8 Pro, an upcoming mid-range smartphone that should be joined by other Reno8 series smartphones. Reportedly, the Reno8 Pro will rely on the Dimensity 8100 MAX and MariSilicon X, also mentioned by Digital Chat Station earlier this week. However, they have since added that Oppo will pair the MediaTek chipset with a 6.7-inch OLED display that outputs at 1080p and 120 Hz.

While it is unclear whether the Reno8 Pro will feature an LTPO backplane for a variable refresh rate, Digital Chat Station insists that Oppo will source the 6.7-inch panel from BOE. Also, they claim that the Reno8 Pro will have a punch-hole for the Sony IMX709, a 32 MP front-facing camera that Oppo debuted in November with the Reno7 Pro. If the leaked Reno8 Pro render is accurate, then the smartphone will look an awful lot like the OnePlus 10 Pro. By extension, the design resembles the Ace Racing Edition, which OnePlus will release on May 17 in China.

Digital Chat Station adds that the Reno8 Pro will feature the Sony IMX766 as its primary rear-facing camera, a 50 MP sensor that Oppo will complement with two unnamed cameras. Like the upcoming Nord 2T, the Reno8 Pro will include a 4,500 mAh battery and 80 W fast-charging, likely Oppo's SuperVOOC-branded technology. A release date remains unknown at this stage, but Digital Chat Station believes that the Reno8 Pro will come in black, blue and grey colourways. All variants should weigh 183 g and will be 7.34 mm thick, for reference.
