OPPO Pad Air: Details of OPPO's more affordable tablet surface ahead of launch

After releasing the OPPO Pad months ago, OPPO is set to bring a more affordable tablet to the market. Aping Apple in its branding, this new tablet will be the OPPO Pad Air, and early details have now surfaced ahead of launch.

As revealed by Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Pad Air will feature a 10.36-inch FHD+ 60 Hz LCD. Under the hood will be a Snapdragon 680, indicating that the tablet will not offer 5G support. Battery capacity is provided as 7100 mAh, with 18 W charging. For multimedia, the OPPO Pad Air is said to be equipped with four speakers and Dolby Atmos support. 

It appears the OPPO Pad Air can now be pre-ordered in China. OPPO is yet to reveal any official details of the tablet, however, and fans may have to wait till May 23 when it officially debuts. As for pricing, Digital Chat Station indicates it will be priced in the thousand-yuan range; ergo, under CNY 2,000 (US$295). Some sources claim the base 6/128 GB model will be priced at CNY 1,799 (US$265). In comparison, the standard OPPO Pad starts at CNY 2,299 (US$340).
