Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station predicted that OnePlus planned to launch a more affordable tablet after the high-end OnePlus Pad 3 debuted a few days ago. OnLeaks and 91mobiles have now confirmed that and posted its specs and renders.
Dubbed as the OnePlus Pad Lite, it is essentially a OnePlus Pad Go successor with minor under-the-hood improvements. For starters, it gets a MediaTek Helio G100 SoC, a marginally better version of the Helio G99 found on the Pad Go. That also confirms the lack of 5G connectivity because the Helio G100 does not come with the necessary modem.
Other OnePlus Pad Lite specs include a 11-inch 1080p 90 Hz LCD panel, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, a 5 MP camera apiece at the front and rear, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage and a 9,300 mAh battery. The leak does not mention if the storage will be expandable.
The camera module sticks out prominently at the back, and unlike many modern-day tablets, its USB-C charging port is on its right spine. OnePlus will throw in a free protective case with the Pad Mini, and a closer look at its design confirms the existence of a 3.5 mm audio jack.
