MID’s (mobile internet devices) have fast become popular amongst the masses and that is the main reason why more and more companies are launching such devices. The recent device under this category comes from Dell and is named Dell Streak. This particular device was not known till the time a video of this device popped up.
Right now there are rumors doing the rounds that this device will hit the market by 2010 and will be marketed by AT&T. The manufacturing of this device will be outsourced and will be handled by Qisda according to The Commercial Times.
Moving on to the specifications, the Dell Streak MID will feature a 5-inch 800 x 480 pixel WVGA capacitive touchscreen with a 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. In addition to that it will also have Bluetooth, 3G , Wi-Fi, and a microSD card slot. It will run on the Google Android 2.0 donut operating system. It will be powered by a 1300 mAh battery which will have enough juice to handle all your daily routine work.
The device features three touch-sensitive buttons on the right in addition to a multifunction dock connector, as well as the camera on the rear. Hey Dell, how about a video camera up front? That would really be a dream comes true for people who hold video conference calls quite often.
No confirmed news as such about the exact release date and what countries will be included in the launch. But once it’s out we will let you know.
