Buffalo presents MiniStation 500 GB

Buffalos MiniStation is a compact USB hard disk with 500 GB disk space. Furthermore, its USB port gets boosted by TurboUSB, which enables higher data transfer rates.

The MiniStation by Buffalo provides only half of the disk size compared to the shortly presented Linkstation, but it is more portable. Not only the disk size is very much, but also the data transfer rate is very high. Buffalo used TurboUSB when designing the MiniStation, and this enables faster reading and writing speeds, compared to other USB hard drives. Additionally, the disk is equipped with shock resistance technology and SecureLockWare. This technology protects data in case of theft or loss of the external HD and no unauthorized access to the disk is possible. Furthermore, the backup software AutoBackup is included. The Buffalo MiniStation will be available in this month in the USA, and costs $ 329,-.
