Acer and Asus rule EMEA
They together hold more than 50%
Asus brought the first netbook to market. No wonder it is one of the leader in the EMEA market today. Asus and Acer together hold about 52% market share in EMEA region. Acer continues the lead thanks to the immensely successful Aspire One series with 32.4%, and Asus comes second with 19.6%, courtesy the Eee PC range. The surprise third place goes to Samsung with 12%. HP, Toshiba and Dell come accordingly after Samsung.
That’s not all; Samsung and Asus will have netbook as a percentage of their computer shipment next year.
