Coby, known for its flashy electronic gadgets such as mp3 players, DVD players, and portable accessories, seems ready to give netbook manufacturers a run for their money. Price is a big deterrent or a blessing when it comes to digital media. In some parts of the world, a good pricing strategy can make a product the market leader and Coby's latest smartbook isn't different. At an introductory price tag of $85, it is surely going to make heads turn and you might just consider swiping your credit card. The product is a sleek 7-inch metallic black colored device called NBPC722. On the specification front, it comes loaded with a 624MHz Marvell PXZ303 processor, 2GB flash memory, and runs a Windows CE. This can make it a useful device for travel assistance useful for Web Browsing and e-mail writing. A battery life of 5 hours is not going to hurt you either. Coby launched the book at CeBIT fair being held in Germany.

This device has all the power of a PDA or smartphone, but packed into a netbook-sized case complete with a keyboard and touchpad.
