It seems that the name Averatec is going to stand out in the range of netbooks introduced by Trigem. The company has released one of its best product till date in the form of Averatec N1200. The sturdy case comes loaded with 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1024x600 pixel LCD display with screen size of 10 inch, webcam, 1 GB DDR2 RAM (extendable to 2 GB) and an ultra-thin 7.0mm 160 GB HDD (5400rpm). Other features include – an Ethernet RJ 45 slot, VGA port, and 2 USB 2.0 ports. With a battery of 3200 mAh, it boasts of a battery life of more than 3 hours. It can run Windows XP or Windows 7 starter edition.

The screen is glossy, but the lid has a metallic, brushed-aluminum look although it’s not clear whether it’s actual metal or just gray plastic. It’s still pretty slick looking. The notebook weighs less than 2.2 pounds and measures 12.8x9x1-inches. The starting price is $329.99. You can order the NoteBook at BestBuy, TigerDirect, and OfficeMax. The most expensive model comes in at $379 and throws in a 250 GB hard drive and Windows 7 Starter edition. This top dollar model also comes with an extended battery rated at 6 hours.
