The new mini-notebook looks a lot like a Vaio W
Overview
According to Notebook Review Forum, Sony will start selling a new M Series netbook in the UK. Nevertheless, I am not aware of an official announcement of the Vaio M. In fact this model looks very much like a Vaio W with a lower resolution display, though.
Configuration
The new M Series netbook will be powered by an Intel Atom N450 central processing unit with a clock speed of 1.66GHz. An Intel GMA 3150 graphics controller with shared VRAM is also to be found under the hood. Furthermore, the device is equipped with a 10.1-inch display, which has a maximum resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels. The Vaio M presumably houses 1GB of internal DDR2 memory and a 250GB mechanical hard drive.
Connectivity
This mini-notebook will feature Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity. In addition, customers are provided with an integrated web camera for video conferencing.
Other specs, Pricing and Availability
The Sony Vaio M will allegedly run a Windows 7 Starter Edition and weigh 1.3kg (2.9lbs). Moreover, it will be available in two colors – black and white.
The mini-laptop will supposedly be available to customers for order later this month with a price between £260 and £320 (US $392 - $482/€287 - €353)
