The mini-laptop will sport an Atom N450 CPU
LG showed several netbooks back in January at the CES in Las Vegas. The LG X20 mini-notebook was now spotted at the FCC’s (Federal Communications Commission) website and is expected to be available to customers for purchase soon. According to the FCC documents, X20 will presumably be released under different model numbers including X200, XD200, XB200 and XV200 for “marketing purposes”.
Configuration
What is known so far is that LG’s new netbook will be powered by an Intel Atom N450 central processing unit, which has a clock speed of 1.66GHz. The display reportedly measures 10.1-inches and has a maximum resolution of 1366-by-768 pixels, meaning customers will be able to watch HD videos on it. The mini-laptop will house 1-or 2GB of internal RAM and a 2.5-inch rotating hard drive with a storage capacity of 250GB.
Connectivity
It has allegedly been confirmed that the built-in Wi-Fi module of the X20 is 802.11 b/g/n. Moreover, the mini-laptop will sport Bluetooth connectivity and an optional HSPA 3G modem. The standard configuration also includes an integrated 1.3MP web camera for video conferencing.
Other specs
The LG X20 netbook will supposedly come with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system. Furthermore, the mini-notebook will be equipped with a chiclet keyboard and some of the models will feature a multi-gesture touchpad. Weighing approximately 2.6 lbs (≈1.18kg), the X20 packs either a 4-cell (2000mAh) or a 6-cell (2600mAh) battery.
