It is wee bit thinner than MacBook Air
HiPhone, a Chinese manufacturer known for its cloned phones (lookalikes of iPhone, Blackberry, etc.), has recently set foot into the netbook market. The new netbook from HiPhone is a mere 2.2cm thick that makes it a wee bit thinner than the MacBook Air, but unlike MacBook it has a plastic exterior which does not enhance its quality. On the inside the specifications are also not that interesting. It is powered by the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, and 160GB hard disk. For connectivity there is the standard WiFi and Ethernet port. It has a 12.1-inch LCD display with built-in webcam and a couple of USB ports. This netbook will retail for $450 and it is also said that HiPhone has a more affordable model although it will require the user to greatly expand the SD memory card collection.
