Dell will bring its Eee PC competitor in summer 2008 on the market. We don’t know much about its hardware configuration so far.
Dell wants to offer its “Inspiron mini” in summer 2008. The compact laptop is intended to be a competitor to the successful Asus Eee PC.
The Inspiron mini’s hardware configuration was not presented officially so far, but some rumours are circulating. Probably, the notebook provides an Intel Atom CPU. Currently, Dell is working on the laptop’s keyboard and this won’t be equipped with function keys, but the size of the keyboard is bigger than its competitors.
According to some pictures of the notebook, it offers an 8.9-inch display, three USB ports and a VGA-port. Probably, it is equipped with a SSD or with a normal 1.8” hard drive. The operating system will be Windows or Linux.
