This product is a member of the iGo Green Technology family which reportedly saves you money

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company iGo, which manufactures universal chargers for mobile devices, has launched another green product.

Notebookcheck reported on a similar charger by the same company back in January this year. Apparently, the design is a bit changed and new features were added but the technology is basically the same.

So what is iGo Green Wall Charger all about and what has changed since January?

This product is the addition to the company Green Technology line-up. It is a charger for laptops and other mobile devices and is now equipped with different tips that customers can use with most of the notebooks currently available on the market.

IGo reportedly aims at reducing energy used by laptops. According to the company, once the mobile computer is fully charged, the iGo Green would automatically shut-off. Allegedly, this product uses 85% less power than a standard charger and thus helps consumers save some money.

The tips are supposedly sold separately but there is an iGo USB cable that ships with the charger and can be used to charge all kinds of mobile devices with an USB port.

The iGo Green Technology lets you reduce standby power consumption or “Vampire Power”. It is the wasted energy by products that are plugged into your home or office and even if turned off carry on sucking power from the wall.

A new feature is also the dedicated button on top of the iGo Green that when pushed would initiate the charging process.

The iGo Green Wall Charger is priced at US $99.99.
