The new ASUS Eee PC 1005PEG passes through the FCC

No words on pricing and availability yet

This latest Pinetrail netbook from Asus is passing through FCC now – as reported by Wireless goodness. The Asus Eee PC 1005PEG sports a 10.1” WSVGA screen and is powered by an Intel Atom N450 which has a clock speed of 1.66GHz. It has advanced connectivity options in the forms of latest Bluetooth technology and WiMax. The Wi-Fi card is manufactured by Sony Ericsson.

The lone leaked picture shows Windows XP logo and a non-protruding battery, which suggest the default battery could be a 3-cell one. Wireless goodness points out an IMEI barcode bearing a 3.5G data modem information, which could be the WiMax facilitator.

No information is available of the pricing and release date.
