This new device will sport Intel graphics and a spacious hard drive

Overview

Earlier this month, Acer exhibited the AO 752 ultra-portable computer at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. Even though the company claims the device is a netbook, the CULV CPU hints it is actually a light and thin notebook.

Configuration

The AAO 752 is equipped with an 11.6-inch LED backlit display with a maximum resolution of 1366-by-768 pixels, which means customers will be able to watch and enjoy 720p videos. Furthermore, an ultra-low voltage Intel Celeron 743 central processing unit with a clock speed of 1.30GHz and 1MB of cache is powering the system. The CPU does not support Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology; however, its Max TDP is just 10W.

Acer’s new Aspire 752 laptop sports an Intel GS45 Express chipset and a GMA 4500MHD graphics controller with both dedicated and shared video memory.

The new ultra-portable PC will come with up to 4GB of internal DDR2 memory and a storage capacity of 320GB in form of a mechanical hard drive.

Connectivity

In terms of networking, the Aspire One 752 features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth modules. In addition, it offers an HDMI interface and an integrated web camera for video conferencing. Reportedly, 3G connectivity is also available as an option.

Other specs, Pricing and Availability

Acer supposedly promises up to 5 hours of battery life on single charge and a weight of approximately 1.4kg (3.08lbs).  Moreover, the Aspire 752 will ship with a full-size Acer FineTip (chiclet) keyboard, multi-gesture touchpad and Dolby-optimized audio support.

The new ultra-portable laptop will allegedly be available in four colors. Consumers will be able to choose among Seashell White, Diamond Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red.

Pricing and availability, as well as the exact OS are still unknown.
