Imation launches Apollo external hard drive with wireless USB

Imation introduced two new products of its Apollo line of external hard drives.
First, the 2.5-inch Apollo Expert, a pocket-sized portable EHD. Next, the Apollo Pro WX, a 3.5-inch EHD witch provides a cable-free connection.
Both lines include integrated swivel-out which stands for vertical or horizontal orientation, data activity indicators (for easy identification of data processes), built-in sleep mode for energy conservation and backup sync button for automatic backup of data.
The Apollo Pro WX uses the ultra-wideband signal to duplicate the features of a normal USB hard drive without the need to string a cable. According to the company the storage is as secure as physical USB. Capacities range from 250GB up to an impressive 1.5TB.
The company announced that the new Apollo Expert and Pro external hard drives would be available in Q4 this year. No details concerning pricing have been disclosed this far.
