Govee has revealed the TV Backlight 3 Pro at IFA 2025. This smart lighting product, also known as model H66A0, features various upgrades over the older TV Backlight 3 Lite, which was released in 2023. The accessory fits to the back of your TV, projecting lighting effects onto the wall behind, matching the colors seen on your screen.
The TV Backlight 3 Pro is 30% brighter than its predecessor, with 75 LEDs per meter rather than 30 LEDs per meter. The denser RGBWWIC light sources combined with the Govee’s 16-bit G1151 Chip are said to deliver finer color gradients. Plus, its color matching has also been improved thanks to a new algorithm.
The camera element of the Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro is smaller with an base optimized for stability. Other camera-related upgrades include a triple-lens and HDR technology, which should also make the color matching more accurate and provide better effects for darker scenes. Using DreamView, users can connect up to 10 Govee devices for a more immersive experience. The Backlight 3 Pro will offer remote app-based controls, with support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice commands. On top of this, it is a Matter-compatible device, meaning it can integrate with various smart home ecosystems.
The Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro will launch in Europe on September 29th, though its price has yet to be announced. As an indication, the Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite for 55-65 inch TVs retails for €89.99 (Amazon). Details of a US release have yet to be announced.
