The Alienware AW2725DF features a brilliant QD-OLED display with competitive gaming features, including a rapid 360Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium Pro. It's now marked down to $574.41 on Amazon, making it more affordable than some 1440p 240Hz OLEDs.

Amazon has slashed the price of the Alienware AW2725DF QD-OLED gaming monitor by 36%, dropping it from $899.99 to just $574.41. That’s more than $300 in savings on a fast 360Hz gaming monitor with outstanding picture quality, courtesy of its OLED panel.

Since launching early last year, the AW2725DF has occasionally seen discounts but often bounced back to its full $899.99 MSRP. Over the past month, however, it has stayed below $850. This deal brings it down to its lowest price yet, according to price tracker Camelcamelcamel, making it an excellent value compared to even some slower 240Hz OLED monitors.

In terms of specs, the AW2725DF features a 27-inch QD-OLED display with a 1440p resolution. It supports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, covers 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and gets bright enough in HDR to make highlights pop, according to testing from Rtings. Plus, QD-OLED panels also tend to deliver more vibrant colors than WOLED and QLED alternatives, so games and movies should really come to life on this monitor.

For gaming, the AW2725DF doesn’t leave much to be desired either. Its 360Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time place it among the best gaming monitors available. It supports VRR through FreeSync Premium Pro and HDMI Forum VRR for tear-free gameplay and comes with handy in-game enhancements such as Chroma Vision, which makes it easier to spot opponents in darker scenes.

That said, the monitor does have one major drawback. It doesn't support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, meaning its HDMI port supports a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz at the 1440p resolution. A DisplayPort connection is required to unlock the full 360 Hz refresh rate at 1440p.

However, considering everything it brings to the table, the AW2725DF stands out as a high-end gaming monitor that offers strong value, especially at its discounted price. Alternatives include the Samsung Odyssey G81SF QD-OLED (curr: $899.99 at Amazon) for those who want to step up to 4K.
