Meizu 20 series flagship smartphone design and launch date are officially unveiled
Meizu has finally confirmed that its next top-end Android smartphones, the 20 and 20 Pro, will be unveiled at the end of March 2023. Both devices have appeared in what may be last-minute benchmarking leaks ahead of this event; meanwhile, a famous leaker has taken note of their new, Samsung Galaxy S23-esque builds.
Meizu may be a subsidiary of automaker Geely now - however, it has also affirmed that it is getting back to its flagship-grade Android roots with the upcoming launch of the 20 and 20 Pro. They have been confirmed to come in yellow and gray respectively on March 30, 2023.
2 devices of corresponding names have popped up on Geekbench 6 in conjunction with Meizu's announcement. The new leaks purport to confirm that both handsets will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (or Qualcomm's kalama) chipset, 12GB of RAM and that their new Flyme 10 OS will be based on Android 13.
The Meziu 20, 20 Pro or both are also slated to launch with high-quality displays and UWB to unlock their parent company's cars. These specs are also now revealed to be packaged in a flat-edged chassis with milled-out rear cameras: a design update with which the leaker Ice Universe has taken issue for looking "too much like Samsung".

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
