Mammotion is now selling its LUBA smart robot lawn mower at its online stores and on Amazon in the UK and Germany. This launch follows a successful Kickstarter campaign which received nearly 2,500 backers, raising over HK$26.5 million (~US$3.4 million). Three models are available: the LUBA AWD 100, LUBA AWD 3000 and LUBA AWD 5000.
As you might expect, the numbers refer to the recommended lawn size for each model, 1,000 m² (0.25 acres), 3,000 m² (0.75 acres) and 5,000 m² (~1.25 acres). Rather than a traditional perimeter wire, the lawn mower uses RTK-GNSS and various sensors to navigate your garden. The range-topping LUBA AWD 5000 robot can tackle a 75% (37°) slope with obstacle avoidance technology and the ability to recharge as necessary automatically. You can control the all-wheel drive gadget through the accompanying app, adjusting settings such as a mowing schedule or the cutting height, ranging from 30 to 70 mm (~1.18 to 2.76-in).
You can buy the Mammotion LUBA AWD 1000, 3000 and 5000 for £1,999/€1,999, £2,499/€2,499 and £2,899/€2,899. The company is currently offering 1% cashback alongside a free RTK Reference Station Power Supply Adapter and 10 m (~32.8 ft) extension cable with purchases. It is unclear how long this deal will last, or if the product will be sold in other markets.
