CES 2024 | HP Omen Transcend 32 debuts with features to set itself apart from its QD-OLED competitors
HP has now presented the Omen Transcend 32, less than a month after Windows Report leaked various details about the new gaming monitor. As expected, the Omen Transcend 32 relies on a QD-OLED panel that combines a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate. However, the panel actually measures 31.5-inches across and not 32-inches as its name suggests.
For context, the Omen Transcend 32 utilises the same panel as many QD-OLED gaming monitors that have been presented during CES 2024 from the likes of Alienware, Gigabyte and MSI. Additionally, HP's effort is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certified, offers 0.03 ms GtG response times and contains quad 3 W speakers. Moreover, the monitor has a flat finish and an adjustable stand that can be raised, lowered, tilted or pivoted.
Furthermore, the Omen Transcend 32 features a plethora of ports, including a single DisplayPort 2.1 connection. According to HP's press release, two HDMI 2.1 ports can be found, as can a USB Type-C port that delivers DisplayPort Alt mode and 140 W Power Delivery. On top of that, there are two other USB Type-C ports and three USB Type-A ports that all provide 10 Gbps data transfer speeds and 7.5 W Power Delivery. Unfortunately, HP has not revealed pricing or availability yet other than committing to a release sometime in 2024.
