Many shoppers have probably missed out on the mentionable gaming laptop deals between Black Friday and Christmas, but gamers who are still in the hunt for a high-end notebook such as the HP Omen 17 are in luck as the RTX 4090-powered machine is still on sale for one of its lowest prices thus far.
This particular deal is available at the NYC-based electronics retailer B&H Photo Video, which is offering the Omen 17 with the Intel Core i9-13900HX and 32GB of RAM for $2,399 including free shipping. This constitutes a considerable discount of $720 or 23 percent relative to the gaming laptop's official list price. In addition to the fast Raptor Lake processor, the 17-inch HP notebook also comes with a large 2TB SSD and a decent 165Hz IPS display with a QHD resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels.
Although our test unit was not equipped with the incredibly quick Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, gamers who are interested in this laptop should take a look at our in-depth review of the Omen 17. For example, we liked that the 17-inch behemoth can be easily undervolted via pre-installed software and has enough space for a second M.2 SSD. On the other hand, the Californian PC maker could have put some more effort into the rattling chassis and the rather loud cooling system. But since HP hasn't announced the 2024 refresh for this product line just yet, impatient shoppers who don't want to wait for the presumably steeper discounts later this year might want to give this deal a shot.
Grab the 2023 HP Omen 17 (i9-13900HX, RTX 4090, 32GB/2TB, 165Hz QHD) on sale for $2,399 at B&H Photo Video and buy a fitting 17-inch laptop bag on Amazon
