HP has refreshed the EliteBook 850 G8 with Intel Tiger Lake CPU options with select configurations designed to meet Intel Evo specifications. HP will also be offering vPro versions of the Intel 11th gen processors next year. The EliteBook 850 G8 can be optionally configured with NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics and 5G WWAN connectivity.

Similar to the HP EliteBook 830 G8 and 840 G8, HP has also refreshed the EliteBook 850 G8 with Intel Tiger Lake CPUs. Select configurations of the EliteBook 850 G8 are certified to match the Intel Evo platform specifications for high responsiveness, long-lasting battery, fast charging ability, and instant wake from standby.

The EliteBook 850 G8 offers Intel 11th gen Tiger Lake Core i5 and Core i7 processor options. Beginning January 2021, business customers will also be able to get the same processor options in vPro variants matching Intel Evo vPro platform requirements. Aside from the integrated Xe graphics in Tiger Lake CPUs, the EliteBook 850 G8 can also be optionally configured with NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics.

HP offers three display options for the EliteBook 850 G8. All are 15.6-inch FHD anti-glare panels with brightness of 250, 400, and 1000 nits. The 250-nit panel comes in both touch and non-touch variants while the 400-nits variant is specified to be a low power panel. The 1000-nit display comes with HP Sure View Reflect privacy screen to keep prying eyes at bay.

The EliteBook 850 G8 can be equipped with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, which is user-upgradeable. The device can be configured with up to 2 TB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage. Wireless connectivity is facilitated by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. Buyers can also optionally configure WWAN 4G LTE and 5G while ordering.

Port selection is decent with 2x USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2x USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports of which one is for charging, 1x HDMI 2.0, a combo audio jack, and an optional nano SIM card slot. A 3-cell 56 Wh Li-ion polymer battery with support for a 65 W USB-C adapter rounds-up the specifications.

The HP EliteBook 850 G8 is expected to available late December. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
