Reviews for the Dell Inspiron 15 5515, R7 5700U
Source: Ultrabook Review
If you can live with the washed-out screen and poor webcam, I think most people would enjoy using this Dell Inspiron 5515 laptop as their daily driver. To me the value is there and bundled with Dell’s support for units under warranty, I think this is a very low-risk purchase in its class.

Dell has always been known as one of the few electronics brands that is consciously doing its part in manufacturing recyclable devices with some of the latest technologies to meet the growing demand of the users, especially catering for the ones who are always on the go. The latest Dell Inspiron 15 5515 is one of such new additions to their list of devices. Even though it is undeniable that Dell puts in a hundred percent effort when it comes to the features and integrating the latest technology, there is always some lacking in the design part of the device. However, the brand has managed to restore the overall design of the latest Inspiron 15, giving it a more modern and premium look than the devices before.
In terms of its design, the device carries an all-silver blue tone exterior and interior, giving it a rather premium look overall. In addition, the aluminum lid ensures enhanced style without sacrificing the durability. Apart from that, the compact size and the narrow border of the laptop promises an enhanced screen to body ratio for better visual experience. As for the keyboard, it is worth noting that the full-size pitch keycaps are 6.4% larger than the standard keyboards that are available in the market, making it one of the most comfortable devices to type on. In terms of its display, the Dell Inspiron 15 5515 has been incorporated with a 15.6-inches full HD-backlit anti-glare touch display with narrow bezels for enhanced viewing experience for the users. The display also comes in with 1080p screen resolution for unmatched user experience and produces bright, vibrant, and true to life colours without distortions and unnecessary brightness that affects the overall visuals in a laptop.
As far as its performance is concerned, this device has been equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U processor with AMD Radeon graphics for uninterrupted performance and productivity. The device also comes in with 16GB DDR4 RAM for faster multitasking and seamless user experience and up to 1TB SSD for storage. On the other hand, the lid-open sensor in the laptop gets it started immediately when either the power has been switched on or switched back in from hibernating mode. Apart from that, there is also an optional fingerprint reader on the power button which syncs with Windows Hello to ensure secure login by the user.
In addition, the Dell Inspiron 15 5515 is also integrated with the Dell Mobile connect feature which allows the user to stay focused and connected while providing seamless transfer of necessary files without any issues. The device is also equipped with all the essential ports such as the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, Display port, audio jack, HDMI along with the power adapter port. In a nutshell, the Dell Inspiron 15 5515 is a great device to be explored, depending on the need and preference of the user.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

80%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
