Chuwi intros new CoreBox mini PC with higher-TDP Core i5-13500H processor
Chuwi has just introduced its 5th-gen CoreBox mini PC. It comes with an Intel Core i5-13500H processor featuring four P-cores and eight E-cores, along with Iris Xe graphics with 80 Execution Units. The slim heatsink with four copper heat pipes and a 3,400 RPM fan allowed the company to raise the TDP of the mobile chip to 65 W, which should result in improved sustained performance.
The mini PC ships with a total of 16 GB of DDR5 RAM spread over two SODIMM slots and a 512 GB M.2 PCIe SSD. In terms of connectivity, it offers two HDMI 2.0, two DisplayPort 1.4, a 3.5 mm TRRS audio jack, a 2.5 GbE connector, and six 5 Gbps USB-A ports.
Preorders for the 5th-gen Chuwi CoreBox will begin on September 15, but pricing hasn't been announced yet. For reference, its predecessor currently starts at US$329.99 for the model equipped with a last-gen Core i3 processor.
