Nothing's CMF brand is slated to launch its newest smartphone later in April, yet has chosen to announce the wireless earbuds that were projected to accompany the Phone 2 Pro in advance.
The Buds 2 look a lot like their vanilla predecessors, as does their case, although they are finished in a new Light Green option in addition to signature CMF Dark Gray and Orange.
The newer models actually have smaller 11 millimeter "PMI" drivers, although they are augmented by Dirac Opteo "for exceptional sound" whereas those of the first-gen Buds do not.
The Buds 2 also have 48 decibel (dB) hybrid ANC compared to 42dB in the previous generation, are upgraded to Spatial Audio and have a case backed to help get up to 9.5 more hours of battery life.
CMF also asserts that the Buds 2 can last for up to 13.5 hours of playback on their own. They are also equipped with updates to Bluetooth 5.4, IP55 durability and Microsoft Swift Pair in addition to Google Fast Pair.
The peripherals also boast on-board ChatGPT (much like a Nothing phone).
The CMF Buds 2 can be ordered through Nothing from now at introductory prices of £34 (or £5 off), €39.95 (or €10 off) or $59.99 (offers as applicable valid until April 27, 2025), and are slated to start shipping from April 16.
Meanwhile, the original CMF Buds are available from $34.99 on Amazon.
