CDPR may well be busy fixing Cyberpunk 2077, but it now claims an unidentified hacker has compromised its servers. Apparently, the hacker lifted source codes to CDPR's games, including those of Cyberpunk 2077 and an unreleased edition of The Witcher 3.

CD Project Red (CDPR) has announced that a hacker has compromised its servers. While the hacker remains unidentified, CDPR has published what it claims is their ransom note, which you can read below.

In a statement, CDPR acknowledges that some of its devices in its network have been encrypted, as the ransom note claims. However, the company asserts that the hacker did not compromise its backups and that it has already secured its IT infrastructure.

CDPR adds that no customer data has been affected, to the best of its knowledge, anyway. Apparently, the compromised systems 'did not contain any personal data', which is encouraging.

However, the hacker claims to have stolen the source codes of Cyberpunk 2077, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and an unreleased version of the latter. According to the ransom note, the hacker, or hackers, will sell or leak the source code if CPDR does not 'come to an agreement'. CDPR states that it has no plans to do so.
