The Witcher: Monster Slayer is an AR-enabled game reminiscent of Pokemon Go. The title is set to launch on iOS and Android on July 21.

Budding monster hunters will be able to slay wicked creatures on their phones this July 21st.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is an augmented reality game (AR) set to launch on mobile devices later this month. The game uses AR to pit players against the terrors that haunt the world of the Witcher series. Players will swipe and poke their phone screens to simulate combat against virtual monsters.

The game will include quests that feature plots “inspired by the Witcher series,” per the developer. There’s not much more detail about what these quests will entail.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer will be available for free on both iOS and Android. Android gamers can pre-register for the game on Google Play, which will download the game right at launch and grant players a special bonus weapon. Unfortunately, it seems players on iOS will miss out on the sword for now.
