YouTuber TeaserPlay recently outed a concept trailer for The Witcher 4 running on Unreal Engine 5. The trailer utilizes UE5 technologies including Lumen, Nanite, and Metahuman. With developer CD Projekt RED building the next Witcher game on UE5, the concept trailer offers a glimpse of what it might end up looking like.

YouTuber TeaserPlay recently outed an Unreal Engine 5 concept trailer for CD Projekt RED's upcoming Witcher game. The trailer makes use of a range of next-gen Unreal Engine 5 features, including the Nanite geometry system, Lumen for lighting, and the Metahuman character creation framework.

This UE5 concept trailer is particularly interesting because the next Witcher game will be built on the same engine. In its initial Witcher 4 announcement, CD Projekt RED confirmed that it would be transitioning away from the in-house REDEngine to Unreal 5. This means that TeaserPlay's concept trailer could give us a rough look at what the next-gen Witcher game will end up looking like.

CD Projekt RED has yet to offer further details about The Witcher 4. With work on Cyberpunk 2077 still continuing - a DLC set in the game's Pacifica region will likely launch in 2023 - it might be years before we get more details about Witcher on UE5.
