Earlier today (October 18, 2020), the tipster @OnLeaks shared images asserted to be of the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S20. Since then, the same leaker has posted renders of this phone's Ultra counterpart. The two phones look much alike, except that the latter's rear camera hump is bigger so as to accommodate yet more sensors.

An alleged first look at the Samsung Galaxy S21 had very recently been offered by Steve Hemmerstoffer on Voice (heretofore known as @OnLeaks on Twitter). As it turned out, the leaker has returned to the platform to post a similar leak for this phone's most premium counterpart later this same day (October 18, 2020). Therefore, the date may mark the point at which rumors about the Galaxy S20 and S20 Ultra successors' looks kicked off in earnest.

These new renders also show the same novel rear camera module as does those for the "Galaxy S21". Therefore, it gives the impression of somehow being part of, or at least connected to, the phone's frame (thereby possibly making the teardowns of the future a whole load of fun). Hemmerstoffer asserts that this feature is "almost twice the size" that of the "S21" as depicted earlier.

This is because it apparently houses 4 sensors as opposed to 3 in the vanilla S21 (or possibly S30: Hemmerstoffer remains uncertain as to which name Samsung is going with at this point). The leaker also has specific dimensions for this curved-display "Ultra" variant: it will be 165.1mm high, 75.6mm in width and 8.9mm in depth (rising to 10.8mm at the camera bump). This means its display could measure between 6.7 and 6.9 inches.

Then again, OnLeaks lacks concrete data on what this quad-camera array does yet, although he cited rumors concerning dual high-zoom lenses for the purported top-end model. However, he feels in a position to provisionally dismiss hints that this next Ultra will support the S Pen: his new info and renders point to a lack of Galaxy Note-esque silo in this phone, although its version of One UI may support a non-integrated stylus. Still, according to his tips, we only have to wait until January 2021 to confirm or deny all these new details.
