Previous leaks have suggested that the "Galaxy S21 Ultra" will have a battery of the same size as its 2020 counterpart: 5000mAh. Now, the regulatory body 3C has reportedly produced some more evidence of this possibility. The new registration made by Samsung is for a model number that may match its upcoming flagship smartphone.

Samsung may have certified batteries for devices that may be the Galaxy S21 and S21+ with 3C already. Now, it seems one for a putative Ultra variant has joined them on this database. It is for a power-pack with the model number EB-BG998ABY, suggesting that it may go to a device called the SM-G998.

This may indeed mean the battery is destined for a next-gen Ultra, as this variant of the current S20 series is also known as the SM-G988xx. However, in a move that may be disappointing for fans of Samsung and lengthy screen-on sessions between charges, the component is only rated for a capacity of 4855mAh.

This may be scaled up to a typical size of 5000mAh in the possible super-premium Android phone's official specs; however, it remains that this is not an improvement over the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The reported 3C leak does not reveal much more on this subject, besides the fact it is manufactured by either Samsung itself or the ubiquitous mobile-device supplier Ningde Amperex.
