Just yesterday, Evan Blass shared photos of what he claimed to be the next iPhone SE. Currently known as the iPhone SE 4, iPhone SE (4th Gen) or the iPhone 16e, the device is expected to mark a departure from the designs of Apple's second and third-generation iPhone SE releases. A new leak from @billbil_kun further emphasises this, which surfaced online earlier today.
According to the well-known leaker, they have been able to find details about an iPhone SE (4th Gen) case produced by an Apple partner based in Europe. Writing on Dealabs, @billbil_kun reports that the case measures 148.4 x 73.8 x 12.1 mm, from which they have inferred that the next iPhone SE will come in at roughly 144~145 x 69~70 x 7~8 mm.
The resulting dimensions would make the iPhone SE (4th Gen) or iPhone 16e much larger than the iPhone SE that Apple has been selling since early 2022. They would also make the next budget iPhone smaller than the iPhone 14 (curr. $399.99 - refurbished on Amazon) upon which it was previously thought to be based. Likewise, the iPhone SE (4th Gen) would be a tad smaller than the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16, which both measure 147.6 x 71.6 x 7.8 mm. Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone SE later this quarter.
