If you are looking for a more up-to-date silent mini PCs, Zotac might have the solution for you, as it is among the first integrators to offer barebones systems with laptop-grade Comet Lake-U processors.
The new ZBOX Cl622 nano systems are completely silent, but in order to make this possible, Zotac had to include some of the lower-end processors from the Comet Lake-U series like the i3-10110U dual-core model or the i7-10510U quad-core. To accommodate the passive coolers, the new systems come with cases that measure 8 x 5.1 x 2.7 inches.
Since these are barebones systems, Zotac only supplies the case with CPU and motherboard. Users need to provide RAM and storage afterwards. In this regard, the motherboard offers support for up to 32 GB of DDR4-2666 via two SODIMM slots and a 2.5-inch bay for a SATA HDD/SSD. There is no room for a dGPU, so users will have to rely on the UHD Graphics iGPU, which can hook to up to two screens via the included 4K-ready HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs.
Other features offered on the ZBOX Cl622 nano include a 3-in-1 SD card reader, headphone and mic jacks, Wi-Fi 5 + Bluetooth 5.0 support + 2x GbE jacks, and ports such as 2x USB-C 3.2, 1x USB-A 3.0, plus 4x USB-A 3.1.
Amazon already has the i3-10110U model up for preorder at US$400. The i7-10510U model will most likely become available in the following weeks for slightly more.
