Xiaomi Sound Outdoor: Xiaomi's waterproof Bluetooth speaker with subwoofer gets global launch

Xiaomi is about to release two new Bluetooth speakers globally. In addition to the ultra-compact Xiaomi Sound Pocket, the company has also listed the new Xiaomi Sound Outdoor on its global website.

This means that the two new speakers from Xiaomi will be launched worldwide. So far, however, there is no concrete information on a sales launch in Europe or in North America, where Xiaomi already sells similar models such as the Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker. Xiaomi's global website has not yet revealed a price for the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor either, but does list the specs and features.

The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor will come in three different colors: black, blue and red. It has an "Alive" design with small rubber feet for a secure stand and a rubber strap for easy transportation. With dimensions of just under 20 x 7 x 7 cm, the Bluetooth speaker fits easily into pockets and, at just under 600 g, doesn't weigh too much.

Xiaomi has packed a subwoofer with two passive radiators and a tweeter with a total output power of 30 W into the IP67-compliant housing, which is optimally protected against dust and water. Bluetooth 5.4 is on board for wireless communication and there are several control buttons on the top. According to Xiaomi, the 2600 mAh battery enables a playtime of twelve hours at 50% volume. Two Xiaomi Sound Outdoor devices can also be paired wirelessly to form a stereo pair. Up to 100 speakers can be paired.
