The Xiaomi Redmi 13C is an interesting phone for a low price. In particular because it offers a lot of advantages such as lots of storage and precise location services.
The Xiaomi Redmi 13C can be had for well below US$200. Its design has been revamped and it now includes lots more storage, too. Several days ago, we tested the phone thoroughly and in this article, we have summarized our results for you.

The Redmi 13C has certainly become more modern when you compare it to its predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi 12C: Its design alone looks much more up-to-date and high-quality. The Redmi 13C now features less-rounded edges, is super stable and can be had in multiple muted colorways. Furthermore, it has lots more storage, namely at least 128 GByte and even up to 256 GByte.

At the same time, the phone is still pretty inexpensive: On Amazon, for example, you can currently get the Redmi 13C for US$124.50.

Moreover, the phone still offers decent power for its money. However, you shouldn't expect a miracle: Gaming is only possible using the screen's relatively low native resolution of 720p and with low graphics settings. Still, you can manoeuvre your way through menus and simple apps without any major lags.

One further advantage is the device's precise location services, enabled in part by its SBAS support. In our practical test, we only noted small deviations from our route on two occasions—most high-end phones can't even do much better.

Xiaomi has also promised that the phone will receive updates spanning 4 years and it is also set to receive 2 new versions of Android. However, the Redmi 13C still has Android 13 installed straight out of the box.

We don't have many negatives to note about the affordable Xiaomi phone: You could critique its limited call quality during telephone calls or its unimpressive mono speaker. Moreover, the phone doesn't come delivered with a charger and although its data storage may be large, it is relatively slow due to its eMMC technology.

Even so, the Redmi 13C proves to be an interesting, inexpensive phone which also supports NFC for wireless payment methods and other uses.

You can find out even more about the Xiaomi Redmi 13C in our detailed review. There, you can take a look at our detailed result tables, screenshots of the software as well as further exciting details about the budget phone.
