Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro: Xiaomi's next premium tablet will be more compact and come together with Xiaomi 14 Ultra, according to leak

A few weeks ago, the first leak about the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro appeared, which is scheduled to come onto the market next year. Another leak now provides some more details. As GSMChina reports, the supposed Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro has been discovered in the Mi Code, where are various clues about the expected features of the new premium tablet, which follows the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro.

The new device is said to be in development under the codename Sheng and model number N81A. According to the leak, it comes with a 10-inch LCD from Tianma. If this information is correct, the Pad 7 Pro's screen would be slightly smaller than the 11-inch Pad 6 Pro. This would probably also result in somewhat more compact dimensions, as the display edge is unlikely to be thicker, but rather thinner. The source states the resolution is 1480 x 2367, which would also be less than the current model, and the refresh rate is 144 Hz, which was discussed a few weeks ago and is the same as its predecessor.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is mentioned again, which promises more performance than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from the sixth generation and would thus be one of the upgrades. Four stereo speakers and a dual camera with a wide-angle and depth camera are said to be installed on the back. However, details about the cameras remain unknown. Unsurprisingly, the new Android 14-based HyperOS will be used as the operating system.

The new Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is expected to unveiled together with the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera flagship. According to the report, this is scheduled for April 2024. However, there is no official information such an early stage. The leak also states that the new premium tablet, like its Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro predecessor, will only come onto the market in China. Globally, there will probably only be the Xiaomi Pad 7 as the successor to the Xiaomi Pad 6.
