Xiaomi Pad 6 Max: New teasers reveal specifications and uses for Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra alternative
Xiaomi is well and truly underway with its teaser campaign for the Pad 6 Max, the third and largest member of the Pad 6 series. Having confirmed the tablet's impending arrival a few days ago, it has now shared numerous teaser images on Weibo. As always, the company has also revealed various specifications that confirm earlier leaks.
As expected, the Pad 6 Max will rely on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, the same chipset that Xiaomi uses in the Pad 6 Pro. For reference, Samsung bases all Galaxy Tab S9 tablets on the newer and more efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, future Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus models excluded. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 remains a powerful chipset though, which Xiaomi will pair with a 10,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired fast charging.
Additionally, the Pad 6 Max will launch with a few optional accessories, also pictured below. Somewhat unsurprisingly, Xiaomi will sell a detachable keyboard accessory with an accompanying tablet kickstand. According to Xiaomi, the Bluetooth-compatible keyboard has 16 x 16 mm keys with 1.3 mm of travel, as well as a multi-touch trackpad that measures 83 cm².
Moreover, Xiaomi will offer an active stylus that supports 8,192 pressure levels and can serve as a quasi-laser pointer. The Pad 6 Max will launch in China on August 14 during a mammoth three-hour launch event. So far, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Smart Band 8 Pro and Redmi K60 Ultra will be in attendance too, along with the MIX Fold 3.
