Xiaomi Mijia Cross Four-Door Refrigerator 496 L with voice control launches
Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Cross Four-Door Refrigerator 496 L for general sale in China. The large fridge has 496 L of space, including a 316 L fridge area, 162 L of freezer space and a separate 18 L fridge compartment with further controls.
Thanks to a full-width air supply and nine air outlets, the refrigerator has a 360° air supply. This reduces the risk of frost and avoids cold air being blown directly on foods. Five sensors in the fridge ensure precise temperature control.
The Xiaomi smart home device has four pre-set modes: smart mode, holiday mode, and quick chilling and freezing modes. The separate 18 L drawer has three other temperature modes, enabling this compartment to have a different temperature from the rest of the fridge.
The company says this allows you to care for more delicate ingredients such as fruit and vegetables, to keep them fresher for longer. You can adjust the fridge’s settings using buttons on the gadget or remotely via the Mijia app. Alternatively, you can control the refrigerator using Xiao AI voice commands.
The fridge can run as quietly as 38 dBA, and Xiaomi claims that the device uses silver ion antibacterial technology to kill 99.9% of bacteria. The slim refrigerator measures 1,890 x 833 x 660 mm (~74 x 33 x 26-in), and the doors open at a 90° angle.
You can now buy the Xiaomi Mijia Cross Four-Door Refrigerator 496 L in China for 3,299 yuan (~US$490). This price includes a 399 yuan (~US$59) discount, with the full retail price at 3,698 (~US$550).
