Roborock has launched a new robot vacuum cleaner, the Roborock T8 Plus. The vacuum has 5,100 Pa of suction power and vibration mopping at 3,000 rotations per minute. An optional auto-emptying docking station can remove the debris from the robot into a 2.5 L dustbin. Roborock claims this provides up to 60-days of hands-free cleaning.
The Roborock T8 Plus is equipped with Reactive AI 2.0 to detect 27 different types of obstacles and intelligently avoid them. The AI also enables features like lifting the mop when the gadget spots a carpet.
The vacuum has a 5,200 mAh battery allowing the device to clean an area up to 250 m² (~2,691 ft²) between charges. The robot can overcome bumps up to 2 cm (~0.8-in), and the roller brush can adapt to uneven surfaces. The brush’s design reduces tangled hair, and an accompanying side brush helps the gadget clean along a wall.
Roborock claims the vacuum can clean as quietly as 61 dBA. According to the company, the T8 Plus can map your home six times faster than other devices. You can view the map in AR via the Roborock app when using a compatible phone such as the iPhone 13 Pro.
You can also use the Roborock app to remotely control the Roborock T8 Plus, adjust cleaning settings and schedule future rounds. Alternatively, you can control the robot using voice commands.
You can now buy the Roborock T8 Plus in China for 2,799 yuan (~US$416) on its own or for 3,598 yuan (~US$535) with the auto-emptying docking station. It is unclear whether or when the device will be available in other markets.
