Reviews for the Xiaomi Mi4

$200 Flagship: Xiaomi Mi4 Overseas Edition reviewed
Source: Fudzilla English
The Xiaomi Mi4 Overseas Edition is a strange phone. It’s a 3G flagship in an era of 4G mainstream phones, so it’s clearly not a good choice for people who want to use the fastest possible mobile data standard. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because 4G is simply not available in a lot of markets, and coverage is spotty even in countries that already have a 4G infrastructure. If you live in a country with no 4G, or in a remote location where you can only use 3G, the watered down Mi4 starts to make perfect sense. The Mi4 Overseas Edition sells for $227 via GearBest, but if you pounce over the next few weeks, you can use coupon GBMI4 to get it down to $205 (valid till January 15). Basically the Mi4W costs as much as a mid-range phone. It’s actually slightly cheaper than the Mi4c we had a chance to review a couple of months ago.

Model: Xiaomi continues to woo its loyal users with the official launch of its latest champion - Xiaomi Mi4. It is equipped with impressive specifications at a very reasonable price. Taking a quick glance at the exterior build, it resembles an iPhone design with the interchangeable back covers. Each of which has a variable texture from plastic to wood, to marble etc. The steel band on the edge not only enhances the premium beauty, but also roughly protects the phone from getting scratched. Back to its functional review, this phone features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a bigger 3080 mAh battery.

Users can choose the internal storage of either 16 GB or 64 GB at different pricing. However, the storage capacity cannot be expanded as the phone lacks a MicroSD card slot. The 5 inch display has a Full HD resolution. All the features including its 13 MP camera with Sony's Exmor IMX214 sensor come close to other high-end phones. It makes great picture even in dim environments. The Mi4 supports 4G connectivity. Overall, it strongly stands as a good deal with its decent and slick performance.

Qualcomm Adreno 330: Integrated graphics card in some Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs, supports OpenGL ES 3.0

Xiaomi:

Xiaomi Tech was founded as a Chinese smartphone producer in 2010 and soon reached high market shares in its home market. Although Xiaomi is not one of the Top 5 smartphone manufacturers worldwide in 2016, it is nevertheless one of the big global players in this market segment.

Since 2015 there are many reviews. The ratings have been above average since 2016.

92%: There do not exist many models, which are rated better. The most ratings get ratings, which are a bit worse.
