Xiaomi 15T series promises 'pro-grade' Leica photography experience
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch new flagship phones that will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Xiaomi 17 series. The company is also holding another launch event for the global market soon, which will unveil the Xiaomi 15T series.
This new phone series is expected to bring two phones, the Xiaomi 15T Pro and 15T. Among the two, the former is rumored to pack the Dimensity 9400+, while the latter will reportedly feature the Dimensity 8400 Ultra. Now, ahead of the imminent September 24 launch, the company has teased the camera capabilities of the sub-flagship phones.
With the latest round of teasers, Xiaomi claims that the Xiaomi 15T series will come with a "pro-grade" Leica camera setup. One of the teasers also confirms that there will be a 5x telephoto sensor, which is likely reserved for the 15T Pro, while the non-Pro model could get a telephoto camera with a slightly lower optical zoom range.
Speaking of which, a recent leak has revealed that the Xiaomi 15T will come with a 6.83-inch display, which is expected to be the same for the Pro model. The leak has also shared that the non-Pro phone will sport a 5,500 mAh battery, another spec that's likely to stay the same across the series. Of course, it's worth noting that the Pro models usually get faster charging support (20K 100 W Ugreen power bank curr. $59.99 on Amazon).
As for the price, recent reports suggested that the Xiaomi 15T series will start at €649 in the EU, but Xiaomi has yet to confirm this pricing info. The company is expected to share more official details about the lineup in the coming days.
