The list of ads and offers seems to be powered by a third party and we'd like to see Wileyfox police things much better to remove these reminders of the less appealing side of online ads, because otherwise this is a clever way of bringing down the price of handsets without locking you into a contract.

Overall, we enjoy the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus. It's an all-rounder, with features you'd expect from a flagship such as its fingerprint sensor and gorgeous design. But when you dig deeper you notice the flaws that better reflect its price tag, which is a bit of a shame. Closer inspection of its design shows that it's a bit rough around the edges, and the screen quality and battery life are beaten by similarly priced rivals. Therefore it's a tricky one to offer a solid verdict on. For the price, you're getting a good phone that looks deceivingly premium, but you could opt for the Moto G5 for a better screen and similar overall features at a lower price.

Overall though, the spec is very good for the price, the design is decent enough and the phone will be a good solution for many who don’t want to spend several hundred pounds on their next smartphone.

WileyFox’s Swift was a fairly decent smartphone designed and marketed in the UK, although inevitably made in China. The company has continued to release new models, including the less impressive Spark X. Now the Swift is back as the Swift 2 and this enhanced version, the 2 Plus. It’s the same size, a modest five inches, but with a higher-resolution camera and twice the storage.

The G4 Plus does have a bigger battery, faster processor, and bigger screen with higher resolution – only it’s much bigger and less of a more comfortable fit in the hand, with less of a premium look.

The Swift 2 Plus is a fantastic follow-up phone, building on the solid foundations of the original Swift and giving us an improved camera experience, fingerprint security and Quick Charge support. If you’re on a budget, this is definitely a worthy rival to the Moto G4 and G4 Plus.

Model:
Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus is an affordable smartphone with good hardware performance. Wileyfox is offering a full range of the most desirable smartphone features at a surprisingly affordable price with the Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus. The Plus model is a bit more expensive than the standard Swift 2 but offers more memory and storage as well as an updated camera. For design, the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus features a great design with chamfered corners and curvaceous rears. it has a chunky metallic frame complete with chamfered edging which looks very similar to some of the high-end smartphone such as the HTC 10. However, Wileyfox’s cut-price handset doesn’t have the exact same premium finish, with more joints and cracks for the dust to settle inside. Users will get a 5-inch 720p display packed into the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus. The 1280x720 resolution is good enough for the casual user. It has strong contrast levels too with deep blacks and clean whites so that image reproduction will turn out vivid and rich in colour.
Besides that, the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus also features a handy LiveDisplay mode, which is alike Apple’s Night Shift mode which is available for its iPhones and Macbooks. It can filter out blue light after sunset for a more comfortable viewing experience. However, it is not possible to manually adjust the brightness and colour mode when the LiveDisplay mode is activated which is not flexible enough. With the Swift 2 Plus you get 32GB of built-in storage space with 24GB remaining space for apps, media and so on. The storage can be expanded by slipping in a microSD memory card for more storage space. A simple octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset is stuffed inside the Swift 2 Plus and for everyday running it seems up to the job. It is paired with 3GB of RAM for optimised multitasking experience. On the back of the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus, there is a 16-megapixel snapper with dual-LED flash, a step up from the standard Swift 2’s 13-megapixel camera. There are a number of different camera modes, which can be flipped between with a flick of the finger, as well as some basic manual controls, but auto mode does the job in the majority of cases. The user can shoot up to Full HD video with the camera too. As for the front camera, the 8-megapixel front-facing camera does a solid job with selfies. As for battery life, it has a 2700mAh battery in the smartphone with Quick Charge 3.0 support. With Quick Charge, it can charge the battery to full in just under an hour and a half. The Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus come with a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back. The operating system for this smartphone is Cyanogen OS version 13.1 which sat on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
