Volkswagen ID.7: New flagship all-electric sedan gets ready for April 2023 world premiere
The ID.7 is still wearing its camuflage skin for its test-drive event now underway in Spain; however, Volkswagen notes that the finish will not be available in its final production units. More details on their pricing and availability should be revealed during its freshly-scheduled April 17, 2023 World Premiere.
In the meantime, Volkswagen finds itself ready to confirm that the ID.7 is rated to get up to 700 kilometres (km) of range per up-to-200 kilowatt (kW) charge, thanks to a combination of the marque's MEB and its "most powerful and highest-torque electric drive motor" to date.
The ID.7 is now touted as more effective in terms of steering, suspension and braking in advance, with an optional adaptive chassis control on top of that. Volkswagen also now indicates that its cockpit will be spacious and UI-forward - with an AR heads-up display as standard - yet high-end and comfort-focused with "Climatronic" massaging seats.
All in all, the ID.7 is already heralded as the next level up for its series, as its first "electric limousine for long distance travel in the upper mid-size class".
