The Y100 is Vivo's latest mid-range smartphone, following the releases of the V30e 5G, V30 SE and Y38 5G earlier this week. Despite retailing for equivalent to $216, the Vivo Y100 4G features hardware like a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 80 W wired charging and a large AMOLED display that delivers a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness.

Vivo has had a busy week when it comes to releasing mid-range smartphones. This week alone, the company has introduced the V30e 5G, V30 SE and Y38 5G, the launches of which we have covered through the appropriate hyperlinks. Now, it has presented the Y100 4G with a Snapdragon 685 chipset.

Already tested by ourselves in the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 13 4G, the Snapdragon 685 works with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash storage in the Vivo Y100. Additionally, the handset contains a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 80 W wired charging. Thus, the Y100 should reach 80% charge from 1% in 30 minutes.

Moreover, Vivo has installed a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 1080p, 120 Hz and 1,800 nits. On top of that, Vivo has included 50 MP primary, 2 MP depth and 8 MP front-facing cameras. Furthermore, the Y100 offers dual-SIM connectivity, IP54 certification and FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14. Currently, the Y100 is available in Pakistan for PKR 59,999 (~$216) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Vivo has not commented on a global release strategy yet, though.
