Vivo recently launched a new phone as the S1 Pro in the Philippines. Unlike the device sold under this name in China, it has the Snapdragon 665 processor and quad rear cameras. The newer version is also now rumored to be released to the Indian market soon.

Vivo has launched a new, quad-camera phone called the S1 Pro, which is currently sold in the Filipino market. This, however, may be confusing for fans of this OEM in China, as it sells a second, completely different, phone in this country under the same name.

The newer, 'late 2019', S1 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 665 processor, whereas the "original" has the 675 instead. It also has more SKUs, with 6 to 8GB of RAM and 128 to 256GB of fixed storage, whereas the updated S1 Pro has only 1 8/128GB variant. The former has a triple-camera set-up, whereas the latter gets quad 48+8+2+2MP shooters. These sensors are arranged in a "diamond" module like that of the new Vivo S5, albeit in a slightly different configuration.

Therefore, this take on the Vivo S1 Pro also has a more modern look. The respected leaker Ishan Agarwal has also reportedly claimed that this is the version destined for the Indian market. This rumor does not specify a launch date or price for the phone; however, Agarwal is apparently certain that it will be available in white, blue and black colorways, and will support NFC in this region.
