Vivo S19 (Pro) presented: 4,500 nits AMOLED display, 50 MP front camera and up to 6,000 mAh battery
The latest mid-range smartphones from Vivo should not only impress with a slim 7.5-millimeter, 193-gram case and a modern design with a pill-shaped camera module but also with an enormously strong price-performance ratio.
Vivo installs a 6.78-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display in both models, which achieves a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels and a peak HDR brightness of 4,500 nits. The fingerprint sensor is integrated directly into the display and the screen of the Pro model is rounded on the left and right. Another highlight of the features is the built-in processors, as the base model is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the top model is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+.
The batteries are also superior to many competitors, as the Vivo S19 has a 6,000 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C with up to 80 watts. The Vivo S19 Pro uses a slightly smaller 5,500 mAh battery instead, and wireless charging does not work with either model. Vivo always installs a 50 MP f/2.0 selfie camera, a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, and an 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, while the S19 Pro also has a 50 MP f/1.8 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
Prices and availability
The Vivo S19 starts in China with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB flash memory for 2,499 yuan (approx. 318 euros), while the top model with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB memory is available for 3,299 yuan (approx. 420 euros). The Vivo S19 Pro with 8 GB or 256 GB of memory costs 3,299 yuan (approx. 420 euros), while the version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of memory costs 3,999 yuan (approx. 509 euros).
