Viture intros affordable Pro 2 XR glasses with lightweight design and bright displays

Viture has launched the Pro 2, and these new XR glasses one-up the Pro in a couple of factors. One of them is the design, with the new pair weighing just 63 grams (0.138lbs), a notable improvement over the 77 grams (0.169lbs) of the last-gen model.

The bright displays are another notable upgrade over the predecessor. Viture notes that the Pro 2 XR glasses have a peak brightness rating of 1,600 nits, a notable jump from the 1,000 nits rating of the last-gen model. However, unlike the RayNeo Air 4 Pro we reviewed, there's no HDR10 support. There are nine adjustable levels, so getting the displays in the right brightness setting shouldn't be an issue.

That said, the display resolution stays the same, at FHD, and the panels have a 120Hz refresh rate. On the bright side, with a 50° FOV, the Viture Pro 2 should offer larger viewing area than the predecessor, which have a 46° field of view (FOV).

Compared to the Viture Pro, it should be easy to get a comfortable fit. Viture mentions that the Pro 2 have three different sizes of nose pads and there are seven adjustable positions. It's also worth mentioning that the temples have three adjustable levels.

Other notable aspects included a built-in diopter, 3DoF tracking support, and the ability to offer up to a 146-inch virtual display. While the Pro 2 bring a handful of upgrades, they are more affordable than the last-gen XR glasses. They are set to retail at $299, comparatively cheaper than the Pro, which retails at $459.

Alongside the Pro 2, Viture has also introduced the Mobile Dock Mini, and this accessory has a 10,000mAh battery. So, it can power both the glasses and the connected host (1-feet Anker Nano cable curr. $13.99 on Amazon). Users can also detach the magnetic adapter to use the dock without the built-in battery. It's set to retail at $99 and will be available alongside the glasses on the official website.
