The Razer Blade 16, in its Nvidia RTX 5090 config, offered some impressive performance results in a super slim package, but it has also been incredibly expensive. We got our hands on an RTX 5080 config, and at around 1000 bucks less, for most users, this would be the much better deal, should you be looking for a powerful, extremely well-made, thin & light performance laptop

Razer's latest (gaming-)headset, the updated Blackshark V3 Pro, might look similar to their predecessors, but internally, pretty much everything, from the much better sounds to the even better microphone, all the way to the inclusion of active noise cancelling, has been updated, added to, or improved. This turns a pair of wireless headphones aimed at gamers into pretty much the perfect headset for (almost) everything.

With the ROG Scar 16, Asus has scaled down the already excellent 18" version into a much more portable form, all while maintaining the same "clean" design, fantastic Mini-LED display, great port selection, and impressive performance. However, there is also the Strix G16, which features a standard IPS panel but generally shares the same qualities. In its RTX 5080 configuration, it once again raises the value question compared to RTX 5090 laptops.

During a time when gaming laptops have become much more subtle in their styling and gotten a lot more portable, Alienware is staying true to their roots. Their latest gaming laptop, the Alienware 16 Area 51, may be one of the biggest 16" notebooks, but also features a new design, powerful internals, impressive gaming performance and excellent fan noise behaviour!

After the excellent Legion Pro 7i covering the high-end, the Legion Pro 5 being one of the fastest RTX 5070 Ti laptops we have tested so far, the Lenovo Legion 5 might already be the "best" mainstream gaming laptop for 2025.

With the Aorus Master 16, Gigabyte's gaming brand adds a true high-end laptop to their line-up, and while the 16" is not quite perfect, with an RTX 5090, Intel HX CPU, and a 240Hz OLED, there is a lot to like for gamers, and even potential workstation users.

Razer basically invented the "original" gaming mouse, and continued to push the boundaries of how much tech you can put in mice that get lighter with every iteration. The all-new DeathAdder V4 Pro follows that trend and might be one of the most advanced mice aimed at e-sports pros and enthusiasts on the market right now. But is this is something you would notice, and does it make for a better gaming experience?

With the all-new Legion Pro 5, Lenovo is challenging the competition with another redesigned gaming laptop that combines class-leading performance (at least in our Intel + Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti config) with a gorgeous G-Sync OLED. That said, they also sacrificed a few of the traditional Legion qualities, and the 16" gamer can get very audible.

What is a gaming laptop? We believe the answer to that question has changed significantly over the past few years, and it is also a very subjective one. Together with NVIDIA, we attempted to answer it nonetheless, so we took the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and the Gigabyte Aero X16 to New York to see what kind of mobile gaming experience you can expect while being away from home. The 18" MSI Raider A18 is one of the only laptops in 2025 that combines Nvidia's RTX 5080 or even the RTX 5090 with the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, and it is indeed a great combination. In some cases, our 5080 sample can outperform even 5090 laptops, but this will vary significantly depending on settings and the games you are playing. That said, the Raider is still a simply insane gaming laptop, with some compromises along the way.

During Computex 2025, we had the chance to test early samples of MSI's new Stealth A16 with an RTX 5060 and the massive Crosshair 18 HX powered by an RTX 5070, and we actually got some pretty interesting results. The RTX 5060 especially looks like a very solid mobile GPU that does not break the bank!

Logitech just launched its new gaming headset, the G522. With a clean new look, incredible comfort, and a class-leading microphone, it could very well be the ultimate crowd pleaser in the world of midrange headsets. We just visited the good folks from Zotac right here in Taiwan to see what they had on display for Computex 2025. As an update for their first handheld, the Zotac Zone, they showed us a prototype powered by AMD's Strixpoint APU and running a custom Linux Manjaro Distro instead of Windows. The 2023 ROG Zephyrus redefined how much performance you can get within a 14" chassis, betting on the RTX 4090. A year later, Asus completely redesigned the whole line-up, and performance took a huge hit since the Zephyrus maxed out with an RTX 4070. The completely redesigned Lenovo Legion Pro 7 for 2025 breaks with many Legion "traditions," yet somehow, it still manages to deliver what the Pro 7 always stood for: above-average high-end gaming laptop performance for a somewhat reasonable price. So while the new chassis design is different, and the port situation will take some time to get used to, the RTX 5080, Intel HX CPU and stellar OLED panel make for a great gaming and creator laptop experience.

If you want the fastest laptop in the most compact form factor with all the bells and whistles and a high-quality chassis, chances are you have heard about the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 and Razer Blade 16 before. While we did our individual reviews for these super thin gaming laptops already, given that they cost almost the same and cater to a very similar audience, we put them directly against each other to tell you which is best for you.

In 2024, Asus ROG basically redefined the "thin and light" gaming laptop with the original Zephyrus G16, which packed a high-end GPU into a super sleek, well-made chassis. For 2025, we get a new CPU, up to an RTX 5090 and higher power targets. While the new Zephyrys improves upon its direct predecessor, the difference is not that massive, and the competition is not sleeping as well.

The Aorus Master 18 is Gigabyte's take on a modern gaming laptop with an 18-inch screen, and they pretty much nailed it on their first try. Yes, the chunky laptop is big, can get loud, and will raise some eyebrows in the boardroom, but with the stellar MiniLED display, a ton of ports, and performance that matches the somewhat aggressive styling, you are well-covered for your virtual entertainment needs. It also seems like the mobile RTX 5080 might be the sweet spot for powerful mobile GPUs in 2025 since it performs very well, even compared to its bigger 5090 sibling, while actually being quite a bit cheaper at the same time. The 2025 version of Asus's fastest and most high-end ROG gaming laptop not only comes with the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 Arrow Lake HX CPU and Nvidia's RTX 5090 laptop flagship but also boasts a completely new design and one of the best laptop displays on the market. But it is also terribly expensive and relies on a mostly plastic chassis. So, how high can the massive 18" desktop replacement set the bar for the competition, or did we already review the best big gaming laptop of 2025?!

Apple finally refreshed its MacBook Air 15, but we do not get much more apart from the new(-ish) M4 SOC and a new colour. While the Air is still without competition when it comes to passively cooled laptops, in other areas, the competition has caught up or even surpassed the OG of everyday notebooks.

In our Razer Blade 16/RTX 5090 laptop launch review, we mentioned that the sleek 16-inch laptop will most likely not be the fastest with Nvidia's new mobile flagship because of the thinner chassis and the weaker Strixpoint CPU. And we have been right since AMD turbocharges both the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 with their new high-end fire range laptop CPUs, and we have been able to put them through their paces in the refreshed XMG Neo 16.

After Nvidia released its new generation of desktop GPUs, powered by their latest Blackwell architecture, it is finally time for our mobile companions to get some much-needed upgrades as well. I have been using the RTX 5090 for the past few weeks for work and, of course, quite a few hours of gaming. If your budget allows it, you can treat yourself to the best experience possible. Lenovo's super, portable and well-featured laptop might carry the ThinkPad name (and pricetag) but considering the missing trackpoint, is this even allowed?
