The design of the Mi Mix 2 has been revealed in a Facebook video by designer Philippe Starck, and it's more edgeless than ever. The Mi Mix was arguably Xiaomi's real flagship for 2016, so it'll be fun to see how much the OEM can pack into its successor.

While the Mi Mix can lay no substantial claim to being the first device to offer an edge-to-edge display, few would argue that it was the first to do it overtly. Overtly enough that within months of its release, the design factor was being replicated—to various degrees of success, anyways—by other OEMs. The Mi Mix 2 looks to continue that tradition of bringing new design factors to the table, and a video of the device leaked by designer Philippe Starck will leaving Xiaomi fans wanting for more.

While the video only showed graphically rendered images of the device, there's a significant possibility of the final product being in the shown mold, especially as it's labeled "Conceptual Product Design WIP v3". The device itself, much like the original Mix, had no side or top bezels, with the bottom bezels being possibly the thinnest we've ever seen on a smartphone. Thin bottom bezels aside, there's not much to pick up from the 39s long video.

The Mix was a proper flagship, and we expect its successor to pack the latest technological features in the market. The original Mix was released in November, so we can't be far off the launch of the Mix 2.
