Ugreen's new iPhone case puts a screen on the back of the iPhone 18 Pro

Ugreen has unveiled several new accessories for the newly released iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. These include a 45W charger with AVS support, a screen protector, and, more unusually, a protective case with a screen on the back.

Rear displays are becoming more popular on phones. Xiaomi made it a defining feature of the 17 Pro series and is bringing it back for the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series. You can now find a rear screen on budget phones, too, such as the Acer Sospiro A15. The iPhone 18 Pro, meanwhile, retains the design of the iPhone 17 Pro (Notebookcheck review), so if you want a screen on the back, you'll need third-party accessories.

Dubbed the Magic E-ink Screen Case, Ugreen's new case adds an e-ink display that covers a large portion of the back of the phone. However, its functionality is limited to displaying photos synced through an app on the phone. Unlike the Dockcase Selfix Case for the iPhone 17 Pro, it cannot double as a viewfinder for selfies with the rear cameras or display videos.

That said, the case appears to offer a good amount of protection. It has raised edges around the camera bar and air-cushioned bumpers at all four corners, which should help protect the phone against bumps and drops. It is also shown in burgundy and silver colorways to match the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

The Ugreen Magic E-ink Screen Case has launched in China, but the company has not announced whether it will be available globally.
